This however. I understand where z1 is coming from. He is correct in stating that it takes a lot of hours in labor and customer counselling and most likely they would be better off selling parts vs building cars. There is more money in parts and small jobs per hour. It is definately more risky doing high dollar builds due to the number of variables. After all engine death is only a twist of the knob away on a z32 with a boost controller. I feel it is very important to repeatedly explain potential risks to customers with high hp builds.
As for the costs, can't comment without looking at an actual invoice and even so that is between the customer and the vendor. All i can say is stuff adds up REAL fast. These cars are not getting any younger and you find all kinds of issues when you take the car apart. Fyi 22 k is nothing :) if you heard what i have in my car.... Would have been better off buying a new gtr :)
